In the end, it had just been easier for Ben and John to step back and let Olivia do the planning for Emily's party, they realized.
When the day finally came, pink helium filled balloons were tied to a post on the porch and pink streamers and confetti were all through the house. Their house overflowed with pink everywhere. They'd be cleaning the house for weeks, but Olivia had had fun planning and throwing everything together.
The back yard was crowded with nearly everyone Ben could think of - Chickie and Sammy with his son Nathan. Even Dewey was there and behaving himself today, much to everyone's relief.( Read more... )
