Tony fidgeted on the couch as he tried to get more comfortable and ignored the glare he was receiving. He felt around on the floor next to him, found what he was looking for, and wrapped his fingers around it. He smiled and twirled the drumstick absently. The drum stick was one half of a new pair Ricky had given him that morning – a nice vibrant purple speckled with silver and translucent glitter that would catch the lighting beautifully. He missed one of his fingers and sent the stick flying.
“Drink your tea, Tony,” Ricky pushed, taking advantage of a stickless Tony.
“Keek,” Tony whined. “Have you tasted it recently? It tastes like shit.”
Ricky chuckled. “You’re sick. Everything tastes like shit.” He leaned forward and pushed the mug closer. “Drink.”
Tony scowled, glared at the drumstick that was now out of his reach as though it were the offender and drank most of the tea. “Happy?”
Ricky smiled and sat on the sofa, pulling Tony’s head onto his lap. “Almost,” he finally answered as he smoothed wisps of bangs away from Tony’s clammy forehead.
