Chris pursed his lips together and glared at Lance as he crossed his arms over his chest. He shook his head and clamped his jaw shut. He shifted his weight in the seat. Uncrossed and recrossed his legs and shook his head. Lance wasn’t going to make him. Uh uh, no way.

“Chris,” Lance said firmly.

Chris shook his head again. He was getting a cramp in his jaw from holding it shut so tightly.

Lance sat back in his own chair and sighed. Chris snorted. Lance, usually so very patient with him, was losing it. Chris continued to sit stiffly in his seat, staring at the wall opposite them. He stared until his eyes ached almost as much as his jaw.

There was a steaming mug on the table. It smelled good, but Chris knew that was deceiving. He knew its contents didn’t taste nearly as good as it smelled. He pushed it away and frowned when Lance pushed it back. He tried to push it away again, but Lance hadn’t moved his hand away and the mug didn’t budge.

“You have to drink this, Chris,” Lance said quietly as he nudged the mug a little bit closer.

“Do not. And you can’t make me,” he croaked, his voice cracking. He winced and tried not to look at Lance. Instead, he tugged the blanket tighter around his shoulders and sniffled.

Lance smirked. “No? Drink. Chris.”

Chris sighed. Maybe, just maybe if he drank the stuff, Lance would leave him alone. Let him get some sleep. He glared at Lance and picked up the mug, sniffed it cautiously, and sipped. It felt good. Soothing. He wouldn’t give Lance the satisfaction though and forced himself to keep drinking slowly. Eventually, he set the empty mug down on the table.

“Happy now?” he asked quietly.

Lance leaned over and kissed him softly. “Very. Let’s get you to bed.”

And that, Chris decided, made drinking the foul stuff worth while, he thought smugly as he followed Lance to the bedroom.

I can't even IMAGINE having to take care of him sick or any other way. Whomever does it would deserve a merit badge and a big bottle of vodka. Or something. lol

Aww. Poor Chris. Lance making him take that yucky medicine really hurt his feelings. Loved this.

Am I the only person who doesn't think Chris would be the Worst Patient Ever? I soley reserve that for La Timberlake. I'm with Chris on this one though, TheraFlu is nasty. [and dangerous, though that's probably my allergies talking]
