5 Things Meme
Sep. 12th, 2006 10:21 amJustin’s not really sure. He knows that there’s all sorts of reasons he loves JC that he’s told him about – from the way JC will make him breakfast in bed, or smile at his silly lyrics or the way JC thrusts in to him long and slow after a hard day of work. But he hasn’t told JC everything.
Justin loves how JC knows from years of practice when he’s so exhausted his eyes are about to slam shut and his body shut down. JC will lead him to bed and tuck him in, tucking his blanket in around him tightly. The kiss JC places in the exact center of his forehead – his touch so light he can barely feel it, but he knows JC does it. He always has. He loves how JC will walk so quietly, his feet barely scuffing over the thick rug, even though JC knows Justin sleeps like the dead, but he’s quiet anyway.
But most of all - before he leaves the room, JC always pauses in the open doorway, the hall light lit up behind him, making him glow like an angel. Justin’s always been pretty sure JC was one, and always wondered what he’d done to deserve him.
JC stared at Chris in horror. “There are some things you just don’t repeat, man!” Chris just smiled that smile of his and JC wondered if they were on the same planet or not. He was pretty sure not. “Chris! Telling them we have sex is one thing. I think it’s a given that they know that. I’d like to pretend to my mom that we’re not, but ok. But!” and JC started ticking things off on his fingers. “You don’t tell them – yours or mine – that you like it better when I top. Or that you like to 69 on our sides. Or that we have phone sex when I’m only down the hall or at Justin’s. But dammit Chris!” and he paused for emphasis. “You REALLY didn’t need to tell my MOM we let Lance ‘help out’ sometimes!”
Lance stared at Justin and Joey as though they’d sprouted horns in the center of their foreheads. “You can’t be serious.”
Justin nodded vigorously. “Of course we are.”
Joey crosses his arms and watched Lance warily. “You know no good can come of this. They’re Backstreet Boys.”
Lance grinned wickedly and raised one eyebrow. “Oh plenty of good can come of this,” he corrected.
“Like?” Joey asked impatiently.
Where to begin? Lance wondered. He started with the easy stuff. “The thing Nick does with his tongue. Oh wait, then there’s the thing he does with his hand while he’s doing that thing with his tongue.” Lance made a motion with his hand to demonstrate it. He chuckled at Justin’s horrified expression. “Then there’s Kevin’s fingers. Do you have any idea what he can do with those long, pianist’s fingers, Justin? And Sweet Howie D?” Lance shook his head. Justin looked like he wanted to flee the room while Joey’s mouth hung open. Lance closed it for him. “Sometimes it’s a GOOD thing the man is short,” he continued with a wink. “AJ gets the whole ink thing and is very very good at tracing the tattoo on my back with just the very very tip of his tongue while his hands…. Do other things. And Brian? Do you want to know what Brian does? He may look like an angel, but what he does with those hips? Is definitely not angelic.”
At that, Justin sputtered quietly and ran from the room. Joey finally looked at Lance and cracked up. “You’re so mean,” he said.
Lance shrugged. “Yeah, but it was fun.”
♥ JC stops mid-ramble to stare at Chris, his hands frozen in the air. He’s pretty sure his jaw drops, is positive it does when Justin kicks him in the ankle and glares at him. JC closes his mouth, but really, did Chris really just say that?
JC’s unsure if it was deliberate or not, but it was effective. The interviewer has gone from asking the three of them about the never-ending hiatus and was now trying to recover from his own shock.
Chris. Man many words and seldom making sense. Today, JC is pretty sure he loves him for it.
♥ The kid’s face is red from crying, his nose is dripping with snot and his eyes are puffy. Chris is kneeling in front of him, talking softly, and gently examining the child’s hands. They’d been walking down the street, people watching and trying to look just a little bit inconspicuous. For once it was almost working. But then this little boy came flying around the corner from no where, and had gone into a skid that ended up a nasty face dive. One knee of his jeans now had a gaping hole, the other was crusted with dirt and pebbles and the palms of his hands were skinned.
Chris’s voice was soft, his touch was gentle, and as the boy sniffled and wiped the back of his hand over his snotty nose, Joey’s heart melted just a little.
♥ Lance scooped a bit of food into his mouth and glared at Chris over the table. “Will you cut it out?” he hissed quietly.
Chris looked at him innocently as he bounced his leg. “Cut what out?”
Lance grabbed his plate and slid closer to Chris. “Sit still or I’m going to sit on you!” he threatened.
Chris took a sip of coffee but the leg did not still. Lance slid onto his lap, straddled his legs and continued eating breakfast. As Chris slowly slid his hands under the hem of his shirt, Lance began to wonder if this had been the plan all along and wondered what he could do to get Chris to fidget more often.
♥ They’d finally decided they could take a break from learning the new choreography. They were sweaty, sore and a little bit grumpy. But as Chris swung his towel around his neck and mosied over to get a bottle of water out of the fridge, damp hair clinging to his forehead and sweat moistening the thin patch of skin over his lip, JC decided rehearsal was a very very good thing.
♥ Chris looked bored as he leaned on his elbows and hunched over the beer bottle, picking at the label. The music thumped around them, bright lights swirled and sweaty bodies moved together as one. Justin was talking, but he wondered if Chris was listening. When Chris gave him this devlish look, then slowly brought the bottle to his lips and did this *thing* with his mouth that was just indecent, Justin knew he wasn’t listening. But in a moment, the beat had changed and Joey was dragging him away. Chris was back to picking the paper off the outside of the bottle and Justin was left with another memory to tuck away.
There's more I owe, I know there is, but my brain just fizzled, so you'll have to wait for later. Or something. :D
