Nick stretched in the large bed and rolled onto his back in one fluid motion. The sun was just starting to push its way through the sheer curtains that hung on the windows and he fought to stay asleep, but gave up when he smelled food. He swung his legs around and sat up.
On the floor next to the bed were the most comfortable slippers he’d ever found – a pair of pink plastic stilettos with bright pink feathers around the clear vinyl strap in the back. The strap of plastic that crossed over the top of his foot was crusted with pretty white and pink rhinestones. He liked them – the feathers tickled his feet when he walked and the rhinestones looked so pretty when they caught the sun just so. He stood up, scratched under his arm and walked out to the kitchen as he followed the smell of food.( Read more... )
