Popslash / TrickC / The Cream in the Middle ~ 300 words
Chris sat down on the couch, plopped his feet onto the coffee table in front of him and crossed his ankles. He felt around between the cushions until his fingertips brushed over what he'd been searching for. A quiet, triumphant "A-ha!" and he pulled his hand out, fingers wrapped around the tv remote. He clicked the tv on and quickly found the channel he wanted. It wasn't long until he was humming along to the music.
He popped an Oreo into his mouth and was quiet for a few minutes as he chewed. He watched his program with rapt concentration, but every so often, Chris would glance over to the other end of the couch where JC was sitting with a notebook in his lap and chewing the corner of his mouth. JC’s hair was sticking up at awkward angles and his glasses had slid down his nose.
Chris took another Oreo out of the package and twisted it apart before swiping his tongue through the cream that covered one half. "I could totally do that," he said. He tipped his head to the side and studied the screen thoughtfully.
JC looked up from his notebook and pushed his glasses back into place. "Hm?"
Chris waved an Oreo half at the screen. "That. I could do that."
JC looked at the screen as though seeing it for the first time. "That? Dancing with the Stars?"
Chris hopped up and did an exaggerated spin around the room, then ended with a shimmy. "What? You don't think so?" he asked, pushing out his lower lip and pretending to pout.
JC pulled Chris into his lap. "I think," he began quietly as he wrapped arms around Chris and held him tight, "that you need to save that amazing hip action for the bedroom."
