Ricky dropped onto the couch and tilted his head back. That had been an interesting visit, going both worse and better than he'd expected. He blew out a long breath and squeezed his eyes shut, pinching the bridge of his nose.

"You ok?" Tony asked as he sat next to Ricky.

Ricky opened his eyes and sat up, smiling tiredly. "Yeah, c'mere," he answered as he tugged at Tony. Tony straddled Ricky's lap and Ricky put his hands on Tony's hips.

Ricky slid one hand up Tony's chest as his heart beat steadily beneath Ricky's hand. The kiss was just the lightest touch, a soft, barely there brushing of Tony's lips over his own. But it gave Ricky what he needed - reassurance of and connection to something - someONE - good.

I'm almost sad this is part of a larger fic. The whole story is right there in that kiss and the last sentence. Very nice.

Thanks! I wrote it with that verse in mind, but yeah... I've been thinking of leaving it as a "slice" and not actually including it. Just linking to it, instead. For the same reason.
