Prison Break - Michael/Sucre (implied)
Dec. 28th, 2006 09:26 amPrison Break / Michael/Sucre / Shelter ~ 367 words
By the time the sun had started to set, his lungs were on fire from running all afternoon and he'd become separated from his brother. He could hear Sucre gasping for breath beside him. The woods were getting dark and he just felt the first drop of rain on his face, but at least he didn't hear the dogs anymore. With darkness and rain coming, they'd need to find a place to rest soon.
He wondered briefly about his brother, hoped nothing had happened and that they'd meet up as arranged. As the terrain in front of them veered sharply upward and he scrabbled to climb the damp ground in the fading light, he had no time for other thoughts. He could only worry about making sure that each hold he took of roots and branches and small trees would hold and he'd make it to the top. Once there, he wiped his hands on his pants before looking up. In front of him was a small cottage that appeared to be empty. Michael looked at Sucre and grinned.
"Shelter," he whispered.
The pair took off towards the cabin, trying to get to the door before the sky opened on them. The lock securing the front door was flimsy. As Michael shoved his shoulder into the wooden door, the rain started to fall heavily. It only took a couple more forceful pushes before it gave way and swung inward. The door opened into a cozy living room. All around, the windows were boarded up and the last of the sun’s light had disappeared behind a mountain. They could risk a fire. No light would escape through the boarded up windows, no smoke from the chimney would be seen in the dark. They had to dry off, they had to warm up.
Michael got the fire going, and then looked at where the other man stood shivering, and smiled. “Strip,” he said quietly.
Sucre’s eyes widened in surprise. “Oh, Michael, man… you have a funny sense of timing.”
Michael balled his hand in the wet cotton of Sucre’s tee shirt and pulled him close, kissing him hungrily. “We need to get dry and warm up, Papi. Now strip.”
