He closed the door to the small, windowless room, braced himself in the corner and slid down the wall. This was it, it was over. Everything he’d been trying so hard to gain was gone.

He tucked his feet up and wrapped his arms around them, hugging them tight, and tipped his head down, forehead to knees. One breath at a time, he forced himself to breath slowly. His stomach was twisted around itself and he forced himself to keep its contents down. He held onto his knees tightly, squeezed his eyes closed even more tightly and willed himself not to think, if only for a short time.

Eventually, he slept. His sleep was filled with random images and strange dreams influenced by the day’s events. The soft creak of the door as it swung on its hinges eventually woke him.

He lifted his head, stared at the figure in the doorway. Watched as the other man crossed the small space and crouched next to him. Surrendered when strong arms wrapped around him and held him close. Hiccuped as the tears finally started to come.

Thanks sweetie. It started out because, surprise surprise, I'd been iconing. And I showed her. And we discussed me writing fic based on icons and she chose that icon. And that's what I saw when I closed my eyes. NOW, if I could fill the gaps before and maybe after, I would be oh so very happy. *g*

Thank you! The video I got the cap from (Y Todo Queda en Nada) has some amazing imagery in it. The one shot is just so damn powerful and it sort of went from there.
