Right HereThis was written on the premise that Shaun knew karate. I"m thinking THAT because during one of the scenes before he and Zach hooked up, he was working on his book and pacing out a fight scene and he did some basic karate steps that my son has worked on (which also leads me to think he knows the same form of karate). So yeah, this is written based off that idea. ;-)
******When Zach turned his key in the lock on the apartment door, the only thing he wanted right then was a hot cup of coffee. Peace and quiet would be good, too, but he'd settle for the coffee right now. He nudged the door open and stopped, staring.
The furniture had been pushed to one side of the room and Shaun and Cody were in the center. Shaun had his karate uniform on, black belt wrapped around his waist and knotted snugly. Cody was on the floor in front of him in sweat pants, feet apart, hands just so as he tried to mimic Shaun's moves.
After a few minutes, Cody sat down and Shaun began the form again. Zach watched as Shaun went through the steps of the form, hands and feet snapping into place, the kicks a little more subdued because of the apartment. Every so often, a sharp “Hyah!” would punctuate a pivot and a kick and then Shaun's body would lock into position again.
